President Arif Alvi appointed Prof Niaz Ahmed as VC of Quaid-e-Azam University.

As the search Committee recommended, the president conducted interviews, with three candidates. The candidates recommended by the committee were Niaz Ahmed Akhtar, Raheel Qamar, and Fazal Khalid.
